He was buried in the\u00a0National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific, but his remains were not identified until this year. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/news\/2018\/10\/17\/pearl-harbor-iowa-sailor-brother-77-years-after-world-war-ii-punchbowl-uss-oklahoma-project-dna\/1649761002\/\">The <em>Des Moines Register<\/em> has a story.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/wcfcourier.com\/news\/local\/traer-family-hopeful-pearl-harbor-sailor-may-be-laid-to\/article_508b73bc-5c67-5693-8007-c51707678a3a.html\">A 2014 <em>Waterloo Courier<\/em> story<\/a> said the gravesite for Kvidera&#8217;s parents also had a place for him.
