What else is there to do in an area <a href=\"https:\/\/www.currentresults.com\/Weather\/Texas\/Places\/san-antonio-weather-in-december.php\">with an average December high of 64<\/a>? Do you like history? Then do I have an itinerary for you! The bullet points are pulled from a vacation in 2012.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>If you go up to Austin, <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2012\/02\/texas-day-2-lbj-and-basketball\/\">there&#8217;s the LBJ Museum and Texas State History Museum<\/a>, both worth your time.<\/li>\n<li>West of Austin, there is LBJ National Historic Park, including his boyhood home. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nps.gov\/lyjo\/planyourvisit\/twhopening.htm\">The &#8220;Texas White House&#8221; is closed right now<\/a>\u00a0but you can see the rest of the ranch and &#8220;Air Force One-Half&#8221;.<\/li>\n<li>A short distance west of there is\u00a0National Museum of the Pacific War in Fredericksburg. ALLOW FOUR HOURS. <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2012\/02\/texas-day-3-lbj-day-2\/\">I couldn&#8217;t and missed a lot.<\/a><\/li>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2012\/02\/texas-day-3-lbj-day-2\/\">And then the Alamo<\/a>, of course.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>If you&#8217;re driving to\/from the game, it&#8217;s inevitable that the Dallas-Fort Worth area will be involved. That means an opportunity to dedicate a day to the Sixth Floor Museum at Dealey Plaza and the George W. Bush Museum at SMU, which are a few miles apart from each other.
