{"id":10772,"date":"2019-06-24T10:00:57","date_gmt":"2019-06-24T15:00:57","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/?p=10772"},"modified":"2019-06-24T00:14:32","modified_gmt":"2019-06-24T05:14:32","slug":"a-note-on-hampton-dumont-cal","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2019\/06\/a-note-on-hampton-dumont-cal\/","title":{"rendered":"A note on Hampton-Dumont-CAL"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>I hope the superintendent of the district with the high school in Hampton won&#8217;t mind me lifting from the school&#8217;s <a href=\"http:\/\/www.hdcsd.org\/uploads\/Editor\/Newsletter%20Nov-Dec%202018.pdf\">November\/December 2018 newsletter<\/a> (PDF) regarding the status of naming things in light of CAL sending its junior and senior high students there. The superintendent says the Hampton-Dumont and CAL districts will keep their own identities because rebranding costs money.<\/p>\n<p><em>So, for example, when we refer to the high school, it will be called Hampton-Dumont High School. For our activities like sports, music, drama, and FFA, we will be called Hampton-Dumont-CAL which recognizes students from both districts.
