{"id":11078,"date":"2019-06-20T10:00:12","date_gmt":"2019-06-20T15:00:12","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/?p=11078"},"modified":"2019-06-14T01:24:29","modified_gmt":"2019-06-14T06:24:29","slug":"south-page-edges-closer-to-clarinda","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2019\/06\/south-page-edges-closer-to-clarinda\/","title":{"rendered":"South Page edges closer to Clarinda"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Clarinda and South Page school boards have approved a sharing agreement that will allow students from the latter to take classes at the former, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmaland.com\/news\/clarinda-south-page-boards-ink-sharing-agreements\/article_ce91424e-8de6-11e9-984f-5ffbbf6b3ff1.html\">KMA reports.<\/a>\u00a0A story from the\u00a0<em><a href=\"https:\/\/www.clarindaherald.com\/news\/local\/sharing-agreement-in-works\/article_f68e206c-7740-11e9-8069-6b9b1ff2387a.html\">Clarinda Herald-Journal<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>says the deal also includes &#8220;educational services.&#8221; Note that I do not count partial day sharing on the school timeline <a href=\"https:\/\/www.1380kcim.com\/news\/2018\/60597\/\">(Ar-We-Va is doing much the same thing with Carroll<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>With <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2019\/01\/south-page-gives-up-sports\/\">South Page ending athletics<\/a>, students can also do sports at Clarinda except for football because it&#8217;s an odd-numbered year and co-ops entered after districts are set make a team ineligible for postseason participation.<\/p>\n<p>Clarinda&#8217;s in a bit of a lurch itself. The district is going to have an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmaland.com\/news\/haws-named-clarinda-acting-superintendent\/article_90f8b26a-8def-11e9-9218-2f6f10b357b8.html\">AEA administrator as acting superintendent<\/a> next school year because its superintendent <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kmaland.com\/news\/clarinda-board-accepts-stender-s-resignation\/article_ae2cc1b4-83c2-11e9-9941-4b1fb6884714.html\">resigned about two weeks ago<\/a>.
