Its route would have included the then-four-year-old bridge on the east side of Tama.\u00a0Now, work on preserving that bridge is nearing financial and construction goals.<\/p>\n<p>There is a $21,000 difference in two options for repairing the Lincoln Highway bridge in Tama, according to <a href=\"http:\/\/www.tamatoledonews.com\/page\/content.detail\/id\/609006\/Historic-Lincoln-Bridge-project-down-to-two-choices.html?nav=5006\">this story from the <\/a><em><a href=\"http:\/\/www.tamatoledonews.com\/page\/content.detail\/id\/609006\/Historic-Lincoln-Bridge-project-down-to-two-choices.html?nav=5006\">Chronicle\/News-Herald.<\/a>\u00a0<\/em>The more costly one would involve work on the approaches.<\/p>\n<p>The story says there&#8217;s about $90,000 saved up, including historic preservation grant donations.
