Over the next week it would pass through Iowa. The journey would take two months.<\/p>\n<p><strong>July 20, 1969:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><iframe loading=\"lazy\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/E96EPhqT-ds\" frameborder=\"0\" allow=\"accelerometer; autoplay; encrypted-media; gyroscope; picture-in-picture\" allowfullscreen><\/iframe><\/p>\n<p><strong>January 20, 1982:<\/strong> It&#8217;s one-eighth of a century since the moon landing. About seven months before this date, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mtv.com\/news\/2924701\/vma-statue-moonman\/\">MTV debuted <\/a>using astronaut imagery.\u00a0About a year <em>after<\/em> this date, the Apple IIe will be introduced and Time will name the<a href=\"http:\/\/techland.time.com\/2013\/01\/04\/times-machine-of-the-year-30-years-later\/\"> computer &#8220;Machine of the Year&#8221;.<\/a><\/p>\n<p><strong>July 20, 1994: <\/strong>The <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nasa.gov\/mission_pages\/shuttle\/shuttlemissions\/archives\/sts-65.html\">space shuttle Columbia<\/a> is on a mission above Earth.\u00a0The <a href=\"http:\/\/lowendmac.com\/1994\/1994-apple-dos-cards-first-power-macs-system-7-5-and-ide-hard-drives\/\">first Power Macs <\/a>are a few months old.
