{"id":11374,"date":"2019-09-27T10:00:59","date_gmt":"2019-09-27T15:00:59","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/?p=11374"},"modified":"2019-09-27T00:57:09","modified_gmt":"2019-09-27T05:57:09","slug":"eastern-iowa-us-30-to-be-super-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2019\/09\/eastern-iowa-us-30-to-be-super-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Eastern Iowa US 30 to be Super-2"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>After <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2019\/06\/more-detailed-us-30-corridor-study-released\/\">considering the possibilities<\/a> for upgrading the two-lane stretch of US 30 between Lisbon and De Witt, the DOT appears to be settling on&#8230;a two-lane stretch of US 30 between Lisbon and De Witt.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/pim\/2019\/08\/us-30-planning-study-cedar-clinton-county-september-19.html\">In a public meeting<\/a> on the planning study last week (<a href=\"https:\/\/iowadot.gov\/pim\/documents\/091919US30CedarClintonHandout.pdf\">handout<\/a>) (<a href=\"https:\/\/iowadot.gov\/pim\/documents\/091919US30CedarClintonPD.pdf\">large PDF<\/a>), the future for this corridor will be a Super-2. This is a regular two-lane road with frequent passing lanes. The rebuilt US 169 between Humboldt and Fort Dodge is a recent example.
