A major media outlet left to its own devices\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.latimes.com\/world-nation\/story\/2019-12-19\/trump-voters-red-states\">went looking for a &#8220;small town&#8221;<\/a> and found<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>&#8220;this small town of Newnan, about 40 miles southwest of Atlanta&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>&#8220;a rapidly growing town of about 40,000 residents&#8221; which by 2018 census estimates would tie Marion as the 14th-largest city in Iowa<\/li>\n<li>in what Wikipedia says is &#8220;the <a href=\"https:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Coweta_County_School_System\">9th-fastest-growing county in Georgia<\/a> and the 26th-fastest-growing in the country&#8221;<\/li>\n<li>that has every major retail chain, a 10-screen theater, a mall, multiple supermarkets, a major hospital, and multiple new subdivisions (because it&#8217;s exurban Atlanta)<\/li>\n<li>in a <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1hDKlV12YYk8p1YSvryHtkXEBRW_IYMo8\/view\">three-high-school, <em>19<\/em>-elementary-school<\/a> (county-wide) district with an <a href=\"https:\/\/drive.google.com\/file\/d\/1e-V6kD0_rJ0uqm0h15TNEX-vM6A22lLL\/view\">operational budget of nearly $250 million.<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Try again, please.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Here&#8217;s a reason Iowa needs to keep the presidential caucuses.
