Church services. Dine-in restaurants. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.radioiowa.com\/2020\/03\/19\/pella-tulip-time-festival-canceled\/\">Tulip Time.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>And two sessions of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.extension.iastate.edu\/tama\/news\/private-pesticide-applicator-recertification-tama-county\">Private Pesticide Applicator Continuing Instruction Course<\/a> in Tama and Traer, the latter of which was supposed to happen tomorrow.<\/p>\n<p>It seems like such a silly, inconsequential thing, but that&#8217;s the point. The coronavirus is not leaving anything, anywhere, or anyone unscathed. It doesn&#8217;t matter how big or how small, routines and rhythms and parts of daily life we took for granted two weeks ago have been disrupted and we don&#8217;t know when or even if they will come back.<\/p>\n<p>This is the third macro-case of &#8220;interesting times&#8221; my country has had to endure in my adult life. At the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iowapbs.org\/iowapathways\/mypath\/great-depression-hits-farms-and-cities-1930s\">risk of sounding<\/a> like <a href=\"https:\/\/iowaculture.gov\/history\/education\/educator-resources\/primary-source-sets\/world-war-ii-homefront\">a whiny millennial<\/a>, I&#8217;ve had my fill, thanks.<\/p>\n<p>Related: How do you finish a yearbook if not only there are no events, but school itself is cancelled?<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The NCAA Tournament.
