It and 14 others in Iowa were shuttered as one of Pizza Hut&#8217;s largest franchisees filed for bankruptcy and announced it would close one-quarter of its properties. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.communitynewspapergroup.com\/vinton_newspapers\/news\/vinton-pizza-hut-closes-its-doors\/article_bce46d58-93a7-54ed-82a4-e4e95eb8b531.html\">The <em>Cedar Valley Daily Times<\/em> reports<\/a> this Pizza Hut, which opened in 1975, was among the most profitable in the chain.<\/p>\n<p>The other locations meeting the same fate, <a href=\"https:\/\/kmch.com\/blog\/2020\/09\/08\/manchester-among-pizza-hut-locations-suddenly-closed\/\">according to KMCH Radio<\/a>, were in\u00a0Boone, Dyersville,\u00a0Eldridge, Grundy Center, Independence,\u00a0Iowa Falls, Le Claire, Manchester,\u00a0Maquoketa, Newton, Oelwein, Tipton, Urbandale, and one of two in Dubuque.<\/p>\n<p>Downtown Vinton has a Pizza Ranch, as does Manchester, so they&#8217;re not totally out of sit-down slice options. The <a href=\"http:\/\/thegrundyregister.com\/content\/grundy-center-pizza-hut-suddenly-closes-doors\">bigger hit is in Grundy Center<\/a>, which has two Casey&#8217;s but no longer has a spot for hungry fans of area sports teams on their way home.
