According to the press release, it will remain closed until July 2022.<\/p>\n<p>Construction will include an overpass of the railroad\/E41, an extension of S Avenue, and paving a mile of 200th Street. Concurrent closure of the railroad crossing at R Avenue <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2019\/07\/relocated-ia-17-will-maintain-corners\/\">will break the Lincoln Highway Heritage Byway route<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>There is an important reason to get the project done by mid-summer: The Farm Progress Show is scheduled to be at the Boone site two months later. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.agupdate.com\/iowafarmertoday\/news\/farm-progress-show-canceled-for-2020\/article_f6f4c280-ba43-11ea-933b-7f45a21b5230.html\">If there is one, that is.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>A project to move IA 17 off E41 east of Boone, which originally came to public light five years ago, starts turning dirt today.
