A <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2021\/06\/public-input-requested-for-proposed-improvements-to-us-30-in-story-county.html\">press release<\/a> regarding a new bridge for S14 over US 30 in Nevada, and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/pim\/2021\/06\/us-30-in-nevada-story-county.html\">public comment page<\/a>, both say that the 6th Street intersection (end of old IA 133) &#8220;will remain open at the conclusion of construction.&#8221; That means the only intersection that&#8217;s being lost in 2023, then, is the one near the top of the hill for the railroad overpass.<\/p>\n<p>The PDF shows that in the area of the new road to be built, lots were subdivided but there are no houses, so no one will have to move.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>It looks like I have to change something I mentioned in a post about the five-year plan.
