Although the building contents were cleared out three years ago, one clock was still hanging on the wall. The sinks in the elementary classrooms remained.<\/p>\n<p>This week, the home of the Gladbrook Panthers is no more. The demolition is the coda to an ending that <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2015\/02\/gladbrook-elementary-school-closing\/\">started in 2015<\/a> with the building&#8217;s closure and included an <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2016\/09\/gladbrook-reinbeck-dissolution-rejected\/\">attempt to dissolve<\/a> the Gladbrook-Reinbeck school district.<\/p>\n<p>The <em>Sun Courier<\/em> has a story about the demolition, along with a history of the building <a href=\"https:\/\/www.sun-courier.com\/news\/local-news\/2022\/06\/17\/brick-by-brick-an-era-ends\/\">that I supplied source material for<\/a>.
