Traffic will be detoured onto IA 8 and IA 21 and US 30. The east-west segment from IA 96 to Traer will be signed as both &#8220;North 63&#8221; and &#8220;Detour South 63&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>There was a full-scale reconstruction of US 63 between Toledo and IA 96 in 1975. One might have happened since, but on the other hand, that pavement goes <em>budda-budda-budda<\/em> for a reason.<\/p>\n<p>There is one passing lane on this segment now, at the turn to the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.abrahamlincolnonline.org\/lincoln\/sites\/iowaland.htm\">Lincoln Historic Marker<\/a>. There are two proposed southbound passing lanes and two proposed northbound passing lanes.<\/p>\n<p>When you look at the large-scale view from the maps linked above, notice that 63 isn&#8217;t ramrod-straight.
