A meeting was held in October about it and was <a href=\"https:\/\/www.kcrg.com\/2024\/10\/23\/iowa-dot-plans-turn-major-intersection-into-roundabout\/\">covered by KCRG<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.timesrepublican.com\/news\/todays-news\/2024\/10\/iowa-dot-leaders-hold-public-meeting-on-planned-roundabout-conversion-in-toledo\/\"><em>Marshalltown Times-Republican<\/em><\/a>. (Here&#8217;s a correction for the <em>T-R<\/em>: The term is &#8220;right-in, right-out&#8221;, not &#8220;ride in, ride out&#8221;.)<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cI don\u2019t see how we\u2019re going to gain anything by putting your marry-go-round [sic] down there,\u201d\u00a0Jim Kupka of Clutier told KCRG.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s understandable that the city of Toledo doesn&#8217;t want to deal with continuing to maintain the stoplights, which have been hanging by a diagonal string over the intersection since they were put up. If that&#8217;s the main concern, and now that the rest of 63 through Tama-Toledo has been three-laned, maybe the solution is simply \u2014 ugh \u2014 a four-way stop.<\/p>\n<p>The deadline for feedback has passed, but we all know what the answer is: No matter how many people hate it, it&#8217;s coming next year.<\/p>\n<p>It will be the first roundabout in Tama County.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>This is extremely late to the party but can&#8217;t go unnoticed.
