{"id":15773,"date":"2024-12-27T10:00:46","date_gmt":"2024-12-27T16:00:46","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/?p=15773"},"modified":"2024-12-24T00:09:20","modified_gmt":"2024-12-24T06:09:20","slug":"roundabout-to-be-built-in-holstein","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2024\/12\/roundabout-to-be-built-in-holstein\/","title":{"rendered":"Roundabout to be built in Holstein"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>At the Iowa Lincoln Highway Association chapter meeting this fall, someone said he heard that some semi drivers are avoiding US 20 in northwest Iowa, even though it&#8217;s now a four-lane road, because of limited slowdowns at Correctionville and Lawton.<\/p>\n<p>A new story this month isn&#8217;t going to improve that situation.<\/p>\n<p>The west intersection of US 20 and US 59 in Holstein is going to be turned into a roundabout, <a href=\"https:\/\/www.ktiv.com\/2024\/12\/18\/highway-20-northwest-iowa-get-roundabout\/\">KTIV reports<\/a>. The intersection now has a truck stop and Hardee&#8217;s on the south side in addition to the Cobblestone Inn &amp; Suites that was built shortly before the four-lane was completed.
