This isn&#8217;t the first time this has happened during construction of the bridge&#8217;s replacement right next to it.<\/p>\n<p>An Iowa DOT press release says the bridge will be closed <a href=\"https:\/\/iowadot.gov\/news\/2025-05-22\/iowa-9wis-82-mississippi-river-bridge-remain-closed\">at least through the Memorial Day weekend<\/a>.
