{"id":16337,"date":"2026-06-25T10:00:10","date_gmt":"2026-06-25T15:00:10","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/?p=16337"},"modified":"2026-06-25T00:26:27","modified_gmt":"2026-06-25T05:26:27","slug":"j-turns-to-be-placed-on-us-75-in-plymouth-county","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2026\/06\/j-turns-to-be-placed-on-us-75-in-plymouth-county\/","title":{"rendered":"J-turns to be placed on US 75 in Plymouth County"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Now we know what the grade-and-pave listing for two intersections on US 75 north of Sioux City in the five-year construction plan is for.<\/p>\n<p>The intersections of US 75 with county roads C70 and C80, in Plymouth County, just across the Woodbury line and right before\/after the Sioux City bypass begins\/ends, are going to be restricted.<\/p>\n<p>The Iowa DOT has given less than a week&#8217;s notice (Wednesday for a meeting Monday) <a href=\"https:\/\/iowadot.gov\/news\/2026-06-24\/tell-us-what-you-think-about-proposed-improvements-us-75-c-80-and-us-75-c-70-intersections-starting\">about installing J-turns at the intersections<\/a>. The state is referring to them as &#8220;reduced conflict intersections&#8221; but they&#8217;re still that type of intersection that bans left turns from the intersecting road onto the four-lane.<\/p>\n<p>Construction will take place next year.
