This is the first election with the new state Legislature and U.S. House districts. It’s the first election ever where Tama County is in U.S. House District 1.<\/p>\n
There’s something for both political parties in Tama County in this election. In House District 72, Nathan Wrage and\u00a0Christina Blackcloud-Garcia are competing for the Democratic nomination<\/a>. In Senate District 36, which is all of Tama and Marshall counties plus La Porte City, Republicans Jane Jech and Larry McKibben<\/a> each want the nod.
