(Especially this year, being the fourth of five Fridays.)\u00a0Tonight is the big parade in Gladbrook, and it&#8217;s an election year, so candidates and surrogates will be plentiful at all levels of government.<\/p>\n<p>Tama County government has had some particularly patriotic names in office, including former auditor John Adams and former supervisor Patrick Henry.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-1949\" title=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/PatrickHenry.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"500\" height=\"281\" srcset=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/PatrickHenry.jpg 500w, http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/PatrickHenry-300x168.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><br \/>\n<em>With a name like that, how can you lose? Also July 16, 2004.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><em><\/em>The only hangup seems to be that Gladbrook&#8217;s city website domain name has lapsed. The pages from <a href=\"http:\/\/matchstickmarvels.com\/\">Matchstick Marvels<\/a> still work, but <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gladbrookiowa.com\/\">gladbrookiowa.com<\/a> has been captured by a foreign domain squatter.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We really love our corn!
