The entire roadway has been shifted eastward to accommodate the interchange and has something new for Iowa: Roundabouts at the ramp intersections. (Boooo!)<\/li>\n<li>The last remaining gap in US 63 between IA 3 and IA 93 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2012\/10\/southbound-us-63-traffic-patterns-to-change-monday-afternoon.html\">will open to four lanes Monday.<\/a>\u00a0This will be good enough for the &#8220;official&#8221; opening date while there is some construction cleanup afterward.<\/li>\n<li>The soon-to-be-former <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/ends\/ia196.html\">north end of IA 196<\/a> at soon-to-be-former US 20 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2012\/10\/iowa-dot-to-change-stop-conditions-at-us-20iowa-196-beginning-oct-22.html\">is being converted to a four-way stop<\/a>\u00a0Oct. 22.<\/li>\n<li>The first part of I-29&#8217;s reconstruction in Sioux City <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighways.home.mchsi.com\/highways\/i-29.html\">fully opened earlier this week<\/a>. Hamilton Boulevard to IA 12 is the oldest stretch of the interstate in the state and <em>might<\/em> have been signed only as US 77 at first.
