This game was both closer and uglier than 2010. The summary of this debacle I leave to a poster on Cyclone Fanatic, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.cyclonefanatic.com\/forum\/womens-basketball\/162289-twister-sister-summary-isu-loses-iowa-ugly-fashion.html\">who had the same thought I did<\/a>:<\/p>\n<p><em>So what can you say about this one? How about offensively it set basketball back a few decades? Bad joke, but that is what it looked like out there. Not a game you would want to take someone to in order to sell them on women&#8217;s basketball. They would never return.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>If ISU plays like this in conference, it will be brutal.<\/p>\n<p>A related question: Why are three* major rivalry meetings in a year always at the same school? Ideally football would be at one place and at least men&#8217;s basketball would be at the other in any given year. This could really use a shake-up, although it won&#8217;t happen because football is set in stone and the basketball teams likely wouldn&#8217;t agree to two in a row in Ames or Iowa City to create the offset.\u00a0(Flip a coin. Seriously.)<\/p>\n<p>*Four if you include wrestling, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kcrg.com\/sports\/local\/Wrestling-Iowa-Stops-Iowa-State-On-The-Mats-32-3-181711041.html\">which isn&#8217;t really a rivalry right now<\/a>.
