The US 65 ramp to I-80 just to the west <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2013\/04\/northbound-us-65-ramp-to-eastbound-i-80-will-close-april-8-iatraffic.html\">is going to close<\/a> for six weeks. The bridge over the interstate between the two US 65 exits has already been torn down.<\/p>\n<p>This week appears to be the unofficial start of construction season. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2013\/04\/iowa-dot-kicks-off-construction-season-iatraffic.html\">The DOT has a long list of upcoming detours and closures.<\/a> Also of note, I-35&#8217;s southbound lanes in West Des Moines are on the newly built concrete in the median so the old ones can be torn up and rebuilt.<\/p>\n<h6>This is a timed post.<\/h6>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Nov. 30, 2012: The ramp seen here will be closing.
