It had been just fine. But later, checking the website on a more recent computer, I found the reason: The whole front-end is a dynamic scripted-up-the-ying-yang cluster of bells and whistles. The only clue this was going to happen is a <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2013\/03\/iowa-dot-wants-your-input-for-website-redesign.html\">March press release about a survey<\/a>, and also possibly this July 11 <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2013\/07\/iowa-dot-makes-its-apps-available-at-myiowadot.html\">notice about a mobile app<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>I want a page full of links, not a one-panel tablet-optimized-so-keep-clicking window that is mostly a background image.<\/p>\n<p>Yeah, yeah. Oldthinker unbellyfeels Web 2.0 and all that. But if I&#8217;m frustrated with the layout, less Web-savvy users may be too.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/\">The press release page itself remains unchanged, so far.<\/a> (Of course, that&#8217;s the one that needed work.)
