{"id":5224,"date":"2014-08-15T13:35:41","date_gmt":"2014-08-15T18:35:41","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/?p=5224"},"modified":"2014-08-15T13:35:41","modified_gmt":"2014-08-15T18:35:41","slug":"college-hardware-at-the-varied-industries-building","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2014\/08\/college-hardware-at-the-varied-industries-building\/","title":{"rendered":"College hardware at the Varied Industries Building"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>If you want to see a bunch of college trophies in one place, you don&#8217;t have to go any further than this year&#8217;s Iowa State Fair.<\/p>\n<p>The universities are showing off their trophies in their booths at the Varied Industries Building:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Iowa State has the Big 12 men&#8217;s basketball tournament trophy, the Cy-Hawk Series trophy, and the Big 12 women&#8217;s Cross country championship trophy.<\/li>\n<li>Iowa has Floyd of Rosedale featured prominently, but his backup singers (the Cy-Hawk football trophy and the Nebraska &#8220;Heroes Game&#8221;) are pretty wooden.<\/li>\n<li>Northwest Missouri State (which gets a lot of students from the southwest quadrant of Iowa) has its D-II football championship trophy on display.<\/li>\n<li>However, Grand View does NOT have its NAIA football championship trophy out.
