Of course I have to link to this.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>The report from <em>America<\/em> magazine, a Catholic-focused publication, has county-by-county breakdowns of recent election results and what I&#8217;ll call election-adjacent information.<\/p>\n<p>The caucuses are one of the few times, if not the outright only, that the characteristics of a rural state are so deeply scrutinized on the national level \u2014 and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.vox.com\/2016\/1\/25\/10817088\/iowa-caucus-2016-poll-trump-sanders\">the coastal media hates it<\/a>, I mean<a href=\"http:\/\/mic.com\/articles\/133061\/the-case-for-ending-iowa-s-stranglehold-on-the-presidential-nomination-process#.Ii6xWsHcW\">\u00a0really <em>really<\/em> hates it<\/a> \u2014 but think of it this way: <a href=\"http:\/\/fivethirtyeight.com\/features\/a-day-in-the-life-of-an-iowa-family-drowning-in-campaign-ads\/\">We take the barrage of ads\/mailers<\/a> and allow the circus in town so you don&#8217;t have to. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.theonion.com\/article\/poll-finds-68-iowans-turned-knowledge-whole-nation-52235\">And yeah, it is &#8230; exciting.<\/a><\/p>\n<p>(Unless Hillary Clinton manages to lose both Iowa and New Hampshire and still win the nomination and presidency.
