Quarry made the news last year when an <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/news\/2015\/02\/19\/bridge-closure-quarry-access-roads\/23705459\/\">old wooden bridge over the railroad connecting to US 30<\/a> was closed; it reopened after repairs were made. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iowadot.gov\/historicbridges\/detail.asp?id=152\">A truss bridge from 1885 on the other side of town, across the Iowa River, is permanently closed.<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>October 18, 2009: Where am I?
