{"id":7894,"date":"2016-09-07T10:00:09","date_gmt":"2016-09-07T15:00:09","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/?p=7894"},"modified":"2016-09-06T01:25:23","modified_gmt":"2016-09-06T06:25:23","slug":"urbandale-100th-street-interchange-approved","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2016\/09\/urbandale-100th-street-interchange-approved\/","title":{"rendered":"Urbandale 100th Street interchange approved"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Last week, the Federal Highway Administration cleared the last procedural step for construction of an interchange at I-35\/80 and 100th Street in Urbandale, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/news\/local\/urbandale\/2016\/09\/01\/urbandale-100th-street-interchange-approved-construction\/89732298\/\"><em>The Des Moines Register<\/em> reports.<\/a>\u00a0It&#8217;s the second interchange in the area to be built after initial construction of I-35\/80 in the late 1950s \u2014 an exit at 86th Street opened in 1994.<\/p>\n<p>When the exit opens in 2018, it will provide some relief from the IA 141 interchange. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.iowadot.gov\/pim\/documents\/Alternative_2_400_2.pdf\">That exit is going to get a flyover ramp<\/a> (with closure of the inner loops) and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.desmoinesregister.com\/story\/money\/business\/development\/2015\/09\/04\/rider-corner-changes-bring-opportunities-worries\/71649954\/\">two ramps will be added at Meredith Drive<\/a>.
