The final was 62-24. Yes, I watched <strong>both<\/strong> Iowa State and Purdue play football <strong>in person<\/strong> in 2016. You can&#8217;t hurt me.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The Big 12 Tournament&#8217;s winner takes on the Big Ten&#8217;s regular-season champion tonight (WHY are we so late this year?) in Milwaukee for the chance to, presumably, play the Big 12&#8217;s regular-season champion.<\/p>\n<p>Iowa State has <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2011\/11\/the-isu-purdue-game-that-doesnt-exist\/\">never played Purdue in football<\/a>, as I mentioned before, but have met\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.sports-reference.com\/cbb\/play-index\/matchup_finder.cgi?request=1&amp;year_min=1950&amp;year_max=2016&amp;school_id=iowa-state&amp;opp_id=purdue&amp;comp_school=le&amp;rank_school=ANY&amp;comp_opp=le&amp;rank_opp=ANY&amp;game_type=A&amp;game_month=&amp;game_location=&amp;game_result=&amp;is_overtime=&amp;order_by=date_game\">four times in basketball<\/a> (h\/t sports-reference.com). They would have met last year in the NCAA Tournament but Purdue fell on its face.
