The two locations are within eyesight of each other, but not direct driving distance, and the landowners don&#8217;t want you to walk between. I drove Colorado gravel for about 15 minutes, adding that state to this trip. This is the second state high point I&#8217;ve visited.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/WYcornercattle.jpg\" width=\"533\" height=\"400\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Local wildlife near the tri-state marker, visible at the end of the fence line, above the spigot of water pumped from the windmill.<\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8570\" alt=\"\" src=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/CONEWYcorner1.jpg\" width=\"500\" height=\"545\" srcset=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/CONEWYcorner1.jpg 500w, http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/CONEWYcorner1-275x300.jpg 275w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 500px) 100vw, 500px\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Facing northwest. I am standing about a foot onto the Colorado side. I thought of putting something Iowa State-related on the top \u2014 this is, now, at the western edge of Big Ten country \u2014 but instead I&#8217;ll refer you to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/watch?v=VyzCw6y1yYU\">NINE-SEVEN because of EIGHT.<\/a><\/em><\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8567\" alt=\"IF\" src=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/CornerFromPP.jpg\" width=\"440\" height=\"330\" srcset=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/CornerFromPP.jpg 440w, http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/04\/CornerFromPP-300x224.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 440px) 100vw, 440px\" \/><br \/>\n<em>Is there anywhere else that a state&#8217;s border is visible from its highest point?<\/em><\/p>\n<p>Finally, I got back onto 30 and took that to Kimball.
