The article doesn&#8217;t set out for a particular point, more of a &#8220;day in the life&#8221; of pretty typical Iowans.<\/p>\n<p>This is the second report from Crawford County in a month. The <em>New York Times<\/em> <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/03\/28\/us\/steve-king-iowa-immigration.html?_r=0\">went to Denison and Orange City<\/a> in March. Apparently, enough\u00a0<em>NYT<\/em> readers don&#8217;t understand what it means to start a story with &#8220;ORANGE CITY \u2014&#8221; that the paper will be ushering in the <a href=\"https:\/\/www.nytimes.com\/2017\/04\/16\/insider\/dateline-byline-reporters.html\">end of the dateline as we know it<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Whether these are examples of trying to see why Steve King keeps getting elected, an installation of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.commentarymagazine.com\/american-society\/decline-porn-donald-trump-voters-dying-towns\/\">decline porn<\/a>, or both is up to the reader.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Washington Post went to Kiron, Steve King&#8217;s hometown, and put its observations on the front page earlier this week.
