Two months after that, the Kmarts in Iowa City and Marshalltown <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kcrg.com\/content\/news\/Two-Kmart-stores-to-close-in-Iowa-427012213.html\">were added to the list<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>Unless more closures are announced, Iowa will have nine Kmarts at the end of 2017, half of what there were in 2015.\u00a0Charles City and Oelwein will be the last ones left in the 319 area code. The store in Carroll has about three weeks left; Marshalltown&#8217;s will be <a href=\"http:\/\/whotv.com\/2017\/06\/07\/local-brick-and-mortar-businesses-react-to-news-that-kmart-is-closing-in-marshalltown\/\">open until September<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone size-full wp-image-8936\" alt=\"OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA\" src=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/carrollkmart2.jpg\" width=\"530\" height=\"188\" srcset=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/carrollkmart2.jpg 530w, http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/carrollkmart2-300x106.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 530px) 100vw, 530px\" \/><br \/>\n<em>When they say &#8220;Everything Must Go,&#8221; they aren&#8217;t kidding.<\/em><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>June 20, 2016: Hello, I must be going.
