Exit 111A is closed starting today.<\/em><\/p>\n<p>The exit from from northbound I-35 to eastbound US 30 closed earlier today for a month and a half of construction, the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2017\/09\/northbound-i-35-off-ramp-to-eastbound-us-30-near-ames-closes-at-6-am-sept-19-iatraffic.html\">Iowa DOT said in a news release.<\/a>\u00a0The closure is necessary to build a new ramp farther out to accommodate a flyover from NB 35 to WB 30.<\/p>\n<p>This affects traffic to Nevada, not Ames, so it&#8217;s not as bad as it could be during football season (but then, there&#8217;s only one game in Ames for the next month, the Texas game).<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>March 25, 2010: I-35 at US 30, with one of the few pull-through signs in Iowa.
