A year and a half after the North Winneshiek school district <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2016\/04\/north-winneshiek-throws-in-the-towel\/\">announced it didn&#8217;t have a long-term future<\/a>, the reorganization petition to merge with Decorah <a href=\"https:\/\/decorahnewspapers.com\/Content\/Home\/Home\/Article\/Keystone-AEA-adopts-Decorah-North-Winn-reorganization-petition-\/-2\/-2\/43951\">has been approved for a Feb. 6 vote<\/a>. (Second story: <a href=\"http:\/\/www.kwwl.com\/story\/36611432\/2017\/10\/Monday\/north-winneshiek-decorah-school-districts-propose-merger\">KWWL<\/a>)<\/p>\n<p>Decorah&#8217;s enrollment will grow by about 5 percent when it adds North Winn&#8217;s area.
