Structures were far enough from the road that there were no demolitions, but two churches came pretty close. The above is from the planning files. There was a before-and-after photo pair in the 1967 construction summary taken from the same location (looking north from Taylor Park).<\/p>\n<p>The new four-lane road ended at the foot of an old truss bridge over Wolf Creek that was not replaced until sometime in the 1970s.
