(July 1, 1920-October 25, 1932)
WEST End: IA 90, now 128th Place at US 169, Dallas County
While the main destination of the route was Woodward (1920 pop. 868, 2010 pop. 1024), it also went through Bouton (1920 pop. 187, 2010 pop. 129).
EAST End: Woodward, Dallas County
The state facility now known as the Woodward Resource Center, on the north side of Woodward, is in Boone County. However, any existence of the route past the southwest corner of Woodward (130th Street at S Avenue, at the golf course) is unknown.
Weirdly, after IA 141 was paved to Woodward a mile south of IA 95's original alignment in 1941, it retained a 2½-mile jog up and down at the south side of Woodward, instead of a straight ½-mile segment, to avoid an at-grade railroad crossing. That jog used 130th Street, directly south of the Woodward-Granger football field parking lot, and wouldn't be fixed until 1948.
