One more quick jaunt into Minnesota for the North-South Continental Divide.

The DakotaDome in Vermillion, only 20 miles from Westfield, hosted a bunch of playoff football games after the Halloween
Ice Storm of 1991. This quick stop at the University of South Dakota concluded the domed-stadium tour and also the four universities
of the two Dakotas.

Back into Iowa, but only temporarily; I-29 now clinched in SD

This sign changed since 2005. I reclinched I-129 and David added a second Nebraska county for the trip here.

We started the day in northern South Dakota and ended it in St. Joseph.

Why go to Kansas? Why not? It's State No. 6 on the trip.

We also clinched I-635 on this trip, looping back north and coming back down I-29 to downtown.

With the trip's southernmost point on I-70 near Boonville, we would traverse 11 degrees, four minutes, and 18 seconds of latitude
on this vacation.

Just two days ago we were on US 2, and now it's down to 40 across Missouri.
