A &#8220;brief ribbon-cutting&#8221; is scheduled for 11 AM on the bridge with a &#8220;ceremonial first crossing&#8221;. &#8220;Planned attendees include state, local, and project officials from Iowa and Wisconsin,&#8221; it says.<\/p>\n<p>Regular traffic is expected to start crossing the bridge around 12:30.<\/p>\n<p>Alas, a Friday event 2.5 hours away with minimal notice on election week isn&#8217;t something I can show up at, especially if media is supposed to be there at 10:45.
