{"id":7313,"date":"2016-04-07T10:10:16","date_gmt":"2016-04-07T15:10:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/?p=7313"},"modified":"2016-04-06T22:20:44","modified_gmt":"2016-04-07T03:20:44","slug":"that-is-not-a-contributed-photo","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/blog\/2016\/04\/that-is-not-a-contributed-photo\/","title":{"rendered":"That is NOT a contributed photo"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The &#8220;TI News Daily&#8221; website appears to be a place to collect and republish state transportation press releases, and with a tagline of &#8220;News and opinion on an\u00a0American Fundamental &#8211; our infrastructure&#8221;,\u00a0I&#8217;m not 100% sure English is the designer&#8217;s first language.<\/p>\n<p>An Iowa DOT press release <a href=\"http:\/\/www.news.iowadot.gov\/newsandinfo\/2016\/03\/proposed-improvements-on-us-71-in-clay-county-to-be-discussed-april-7-in-sioux-rapids.html\">about a meeting on US 71 in Clay County<\/a> today is on the TI News Daily website, <a href=\"http:\/\/tinewsdaily.com\/stories\/510704490-iowa-dot-to-hold-open-house-on-proposed-u-s-71-improvements\">although it has been rewritten<\/a>. A look at all the previous Iowa-tagged stories are along the same vein (public meeting notices).<\/p>\n<p><em>But look at the &#8220;contributed photo&#8221; being used. <\/em>That&#8217;s MY photo from the <a href=\"http:\/\/iowahighwayends.net\/ends\/statelines\/us71.html\">bottom of the US 71 page<\/a>, resized and rehosted. Braddyville isn&#8217;t anywhere near Clay County, but someone or something must have landed on it by looking for &#8220;US 71&#8221; and &#8220;Iowa&#8221;.
