NORTH End: Stop sign, IA 22/6th St., Wellman, Washington County

Highway 114 is the only non-spur on the 1981 map that reverted to county control in 1980. This sign is DOT-standard. It was a "dustless" road when turned over.

Temporary NORTH End(?): City limits of Wellman, Washington County

Wellman agreed to take its part of the road three months before the county did, so it's possible an "End" was signed at the city limits for part of winter 1980-81. But it's also possible the entire route had its signs taken down in October.

SOUTH End: Stop sign, IA 92, near West Chester, Washington County

The "End 114" may have been near or where the "Stop Ahead" sign is.

Last seeen: 1980 (1981 map)

Although the route was decommissioned in 1980, it still showed up on the 1981 map because of a delay in the county taking the road. Note at far left that IA 77 is missing!
