Blue signs perpendicular to the picture are guide signs at the offramp. There is no signage for US 6 here, nor anywhere else between US 65 and IA 14 where 6 is slapped onto I-80.

Note that the Casey's visible in the above picture is not included in the sign for gas. In addition, I think the above picture has an Amoco on the blue sign, which has been changed to a BP.

I am pretty sure that this was unsigned in September 2001. I could be mistaken, because I wasn't paying attention. Notice lack of "North" tag.
