July 17, 2013: This is where US 63 will join/leave US 52, eventually. County Road 14 connecting 52 and 63 is still rural, for now.
Although there were previous reports that Rochester MN had accepted the transfer of US 63 through the city, the signs had not changed when I went through in the summer.
After e-mailing the Minnesota DOT, I learned that sign replacement will be a big project next spring/summer. Not only do BGSs along US 52 have to be replaced (see above), every interchange needs US 63 shields added to the signage on the intersecting roads.
My clinch of US 63 in Minnesota is still good for a while, at least. But some time I’ll have to travel it again.
