Iowa City was among Bill Connelly’s stops in “a journey through football’s heartland.” It gives you a good taste for the area, but two things stand out:
- The link writer needs more familiarity with the area. It says “Michigan Notre Dame Iowa State Wisconsin.” Not quite.
- Connelly writes, “Eastern Indiana did provide us with something we missed in southern Iowa, however: the Amish.” There is a substantial Amish community in Washington County. I don’t know if he meant “miss” as in “we knew about them and didn’t see them” or “there were no Amish in southern Iowa,” which would be wrong.
