Neil Armstrong, 1930-2012
The world has lost a pioneer. EDIT 8/26: I have replaced the picture after Charles Apple’s blog pointed out the previous one used Buzz Aldrin’s footprint. More pictures and information there.

The Return of the Incredible Shrinking Products
The Mike & Ike box was recently cut from 6 ounces to 5 ounces — a 17% cut! I knew something was different. Whenever the package says “10% more free” or gets redesigned, look out — chances are it’s preparation … Continue reading

The IA 21 bridge over Wolf Creek is scheduled to be replaced in 2017. That’s all. The big infusion of money came with the US 30 work that is now complete. The good news is that the Benton County plan … Continue reading

Not serendipity, just stereotypical
While radio channel-surfing Memorial Day night, one of the first songs I heard on three different stations in half an hour — KOEL 98.5, KXIA 101.1, and WMT-FM KKSY 96.5 — was Jason Aldean’s “Flyover States.” I think this means … Continue reading
