Belated Hawkeye milestone note
Iowa’s victory over Iowa State on Sept. 14 was the football program’s 600th by the university’s reckoning. Iowa State notched its 500th all-time victory last season. Based on how their respective seasons are going, it’s theoretically possible that Northwestern could … Continue reading

Watch your gas pumps
A change to sub-octane shipments means Iowa gas stations will no longer be selling 89 octane fuel with ethanol. Instead, the three usual choices will be 87 without ethanol, 87 with ethanol, and 91 (premium). KWWL

License Plate Letters — BPY
I am a little surprised it’s all the way in September and we’re still in the B’s. On the other hand, a lot of early plates were replaced with Z’s before those ran out.

No 0-fer for NT
North Tama 19, Iowa Valley 2. That’s good. Prior to last night’s game, the Redhawks had 47 rushing yards on the season. That’s bad.
