All the Art Deco

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERA

July 20, 2012: Closeup of stonework above the entrance to the Harlan post office. A Flickr user writes, “Built in 1935, this post office is home to a 1937 New Deal mural by Richard Gates entitled “The Farmer Feeding Industry.”

Post inspired by this news story about USPS wanting to increase the price of a stamp 3 cents to 49 cents, and a postcard 1 cent to 34 cents. Why not just go to 50 and 35?
